Excitingly, we have a number of fabulous opportunities for Anaesthetic Technicians/Operating Department Practitioners, who are looking to advance their careers and build on their current skillsets in New Zealand.
The role/s & responsibilities:
As an AT or ODP, you will play a crucial role in supporting theatre staff during surgeries, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
This will include:
- Preparing and maintaining anaesthetic equipment and machines.
- Assisting anaesthesiologists in administering anaesthesia to patients.
- Monitoring patients’ vital signs and responses during surgeries.
- Troubleshooting and resolving any technical issues with the equipment.
- Collaborating with the surgical team to ensure a smooth and successful operation.
- Assisting with patient transportation to and from the operating room.
- Ensuring compliance with safety and infection control protocols.
To be considered you will:
- Hold relevant qualifications as an AT or ODP.
- Have proven English Language Proficiency/Sufficient IELTs band score (in alignment with MSC Requirements)
- Eligibility for registration with the Medical Sciences Council of New Zealand (MSC).
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
