Our client has a small in-patient facility and a strong community focused, working in partnership with whānau to provide exceptional palliative care.
Responsibilities:
- Provide excellent palliative care to patients.
- Practice with a holistic ethos and in accordance with the NZ Palliative Care Standards.
- Provide timely medical advice/support to external partners.
- Provide medical support and training to staff, patients, whānau and external partners as required.
About You:
- This role is ideal for a doctor with a special interest in palliative care or an experienced palliative care doctor.
- We seek a doctor who embraces a philosophy of care empowering patients to maintain control over their wellbeing and delivering care in their preferred place of residence.
- The successful candidate will have opportunities to mentor and train both internal staff and external healthcare providers within the community as needed.
