About the Role:
- This role is a permanent position based in Porirua, offering stability and continuity.
- Join a team of 30 staff members who collaborate regularly to provide comprehensive support services.
- Nurses must ensure accurate financial billing (e.g. ACC, immunisations, patient invoicing) occurs promptly ensuring full access to financial benefit is achieved.
- Tasks are focused around patient and clinic needs along with Ministry of Health and local (i.e. CCDHB) health targets. These may include meeting immunisation, cervical screening and smoking cessation targets and sexual health, heart and diabetes checks, and mental health referral targets. Our nurses complete clinical audits to assess progress against targets and undertake any appropriate and approved training required to achieve these targets.
- Actively uphold safety standards and identify and correct risks that affect the safety of all people in all interactions.
Qualifications Required:
- High school qualification or higher.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experiential qualifications.
- Proficiency in Te Reo: Beginner to Intermediate.
- Full Driver’s Licence.
- Current registration with the Nursing Council of New Zealand (Practicing Certificate).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Postgraduate degree or equivalent experiential qualifications.
- Current authorisation as a Vaccinator for the Wellington Region
- Qualified cervical smear taker
- Current CPR Certificate to a minimum Level 4.
- Indemnity Insurance.
- Experience in Medtech preferred.
- Working knowledge of office technology and ideally Office 365.
