Nurse manager - 4 months contract Western NSW

Our client , in the public sector  is seeking a dynamic and experienced Nurse Manager Grade 1 to join their team in Western NSW

• Position: Nurse Manager Grade 1
  Location: MPS facility in Western NSW
• Full Time, 4months contract starting ASAP
• Application closing date: 19th of February 2024

Essential Criteria:

• Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse (Division 1).

Key Accountabilities:

• Management and supervision of nursing staff and clinical nursing practice to ensure safe and appropriate care.
• Formulate and implement nursing/midwifery service plans within allocated budgets.
• Leadership and management of nursing/midwifery workforce to deliver safe, high-quality clinical services.
• Provide leadership to uphold policies and professional standards practices.
• Allocate and manage resources effectively and efficiently.
• Contribute to organizational change processes for continuous improvement in nursing care delivery.

Selection Criteria:

1. Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse (Division 1).
2. Extensive relevant post-registration nursing experience and relevant post-graduate qualifications in management (or willingness to commence within 12 months).
3. Demonstrated leadership and mentorship skills.
4. Understanding of contemporary nursing professional and management issues.
5. Ability to facilitate professional development and competence of nursing staff.
6. Management skills to deliver effectiveness and efficiency.
7. Information technology, communication, and interpersonal skills.
8. Contribution to policy and practice development, including National Safety & Quality Health Standards.
