Job description
We are seeking experienced Registered Midwives to join a family friendly and supportive Maternity team. You will work with Obstetricians and Paediatricians and perform your specialised clinical role to ensure an exceptional level of care to mothers and babies.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic and dedicated Registered Midwife to provide exceptional services during the antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal episodes.
We welcome applications from Registered Nurses with Special Care Nursery experience.
What you will need;
Essential Criteria
- Current Registration with APHRA as a Registered Midwife
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in Maternity
- Degree in Nursing and Health Management or equivalent
- Demonstrated high level of competence with a proven ability to operate confidently in Delivery Suite, Antenatal, Special Care and Postnatal Units
- Demonstrated collaborative and well-developed verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver optimal patient centred care
- Proficient computer skills and experience with computerised reporting systems
- Well-developed time management skills with a high degree of initiative
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of continuous quality improvement
- Commitment to professional development and to a structured learning program for all staff
- Immunisation Evidence (including full Covid vaccination and seasonal Influenza) and additional serology report)
Desirable Criteria
- Evidence of continuing commitment to professional groups
- Demonstrated participation in patient education sessions within the Maternity Unit
- Demonstrated participation in policy and procedure development
